I turned in the galley proofs yesterday for my Repeater short story Closet Case. No changes needed, nicely done Anne Regan and Dreamspinner Press. I don't have a release date yet, sometime in March. As a short story it gets this lovely Anne Cain cover

Random Things - Five things that made me smile

This is a new section where I share random stuff. Feel free to send me your random in reply. See the blog hop steps below.

1. I interviewed and hired someone at work. Always great to tell someone that yes, after months of unemployment, you have a paycheck in your future.
2. Suzanne Brockmann (call me Suz) posted to the RRW yahoo loop about her upcoming futuristic urban fantasy which will have a major gay romance subplot. (And this by a 'mainstream' publisher) I'm a fan girl and I'm counting down the days until the official count down to the book. Yep, you read that right.
3. Had the opportunity to blow someone's miss guide expectations and assumptions of me out of the water. I look sweet, innocent and conservative but I'm not.
4. Bought the oldest a pair of boots she's been eying for over a month with a 40% off coupon. She's a very happy tween.
5. Out latest End Results user, a critique service I coordinate for my local romance chapter, gave us glowing praise. "What your chapter does with End Results is amazing." Yes it is.

RRW Meeting - Speak up

The Rainbow Romance Writers will have a general meeting for members from 8AM CST Friday, January 13 until 8AM CST Monday, January 16, 2012.

This meeting will be held at the yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rainbowromancewriters/

During the time of the meeting, no non-meeting business should go on the loop. Chatting to each other is fine, as we want to encourage members to get to know one another. However, during the time of the meeting, please no promotional announcements. Think of it as a meeting: you wouldn't stand up in the middle of a meeting and announce your blog tour. Once the meeting closes, all normal activity will resume.

No member is required to attend, but all members are welcomed and encouraged to. Since this is our first time trying to hold a "meeting" with so many people over such a long period of time, we'll be feeling our way as we go. Obviously no one will be "present" the entire time, but all four officers will be as present as possible and will answer questions, etc.

The agenda for the January meeting will be as follows:

3. Website changes and what we need from you, including the transfer to myRWA

4. MEMBER DISCUSSION: is there a need for liaisons for the LB&T members of our community to the board
